Broadcaster Jang Sung-gyu recently expressed envy and regret toward the so-called "scarf vendor," who has become a local landmark at Namdaemun Market.

On the 5th, Jang posted on his Instagram, "The person I envy most these days. I want to be as hot as you are," along with a photo of Vendor A, known as the "scarf vendor."

He added, "I will soon bring my scarf-obsessed mother to take a lesson in your sharp tongue. Please don't close up shop and wait for us. Go, scarf vendor!"

Although Jang referred to Vendor A as an "older brother," one fan claimed that Vendor A was born in 1983. In response, Jang said, "The scarf vendor is the same age as me. I thought he was an older brother because of his ability to handle the ladies and his depth of witty banter." Jang also added, "It was a misunderstanding. I'm sorry, friend," delivering a humorous apology that drew laughter.

Meanwhile, Vendor A is a merchant at Namdaemun Market who has gained attention on social media under the nickname "scarf vendor" thanks to his distinctive eloquence. He attracted attention for his unique sales approach of discouraging purchases by telling customers looking to buy scarves, "Don't spend your money," and "That's overspending."

As videos of Vendor A selling scarves rapidly spread on social media, a large number of visitors flocked to the store. The interest was so intense that he had to take a day off from business due to an overwhelming rush of customers at once. Police even arrived at the scene, and it is reported that Vendor A decided to suspend operations again for safety inspections.
