Director of "Mideukne" (Without Beginning or End, It's You): "Lee Yi-kyung absent from the production press conference? He was filming another work... I conveyed his apology"

Director Yoon Jong-ho relayed the reason for actor Lee Yi-kyung's absence from the production press conference for "Mideukne" (Without Beginning or End, It's You) on his behalf.

The production press conference for Lifetime's weekend drama "Mideukne" (Directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Lee Seung-hun, Screenplay by Byeon Sang-soon, hereinafter referred to as "Mideukne") was held at the Grand Ballroom of The Saint in D-Cube City, Guro-gu, Seoul, on the 19th. Director Yoon Jong-ho, Jung Yong-hwa, Hong Seung-hee, Han Chae-ah, and Cho Jae-yoon attended.

Actors Lee Yi-kyung and Park Yu-na also appear in this drama but were absent from the event. Lee Yi-kyung plays Han Jeong-woo, a "Uncle" figure for Hong Doo, who returned to Korea hoping to meet a lonely girl after hearing about her from a grandfather he met by chance during his lonely childhood in the UK. Park Yu-na plays Song Na-ri, an idol who was a member of a girl group that never gained popularity but became popular by chance due to her Jeju Island dialect and is also challenging herself with acting.

Regarding Lee Yi-kyung's absence on this day, Director Yoon said, "He is currently filming. We saw him at a gathering a few days ago when we met up among ourselves, and he expressed his regret for not being able to attend today."

"Mideukne" is an unprecedented, unpredictable, and bold romance that begins without beginning or end when a male actor, a master of melodrama with fatal flaws, meets a mysterious woman who believes herself to be the female lead in his drama. Director Yoon Jong-ho, who presented the dramas "Riding on Sun Jaeha" and "Married Woman Killer," and Director Lee Seung-hun of "Doctor Shin" co-direct the series.

Jung Yong-hwa plays "Um Tae-bong," a Hallyu star and melodrama master who absolutely never films kiss scenes. He is a top star with outstanding looks and acting skills, and a confident person, but he harbors a fatal secret that he cannot reveal to anyone. Hong Seung-hee plays "Oh Hae-ra," who comes to believe she is "Cha Hong-doo," the female lead in Um Tae-bong's drama, after an accident. She is set to switch between the timid and fearful Oh Hae-ra and the bold and fearless Cha Hong-doo, her "dual personality" (?).

"Mideukne" will air its first episode on the Lifetime channel at 10:50 p.m. on the 24th. In Korea, it will be available on TVING and LG Channels. Overseas, it is scheduled to be released on Asia's representative OTT platform Viu, and in Japan, it will be distributed through ACROSS, which has distributed works such as "She Was Pretty" and "Climax," on Japan's leading OTT platforms.
