Moon Ga-young and Cha Eun-woo reunion may not happen… "Silla Knife" casting under discussion [Official Statement]

Amid reports that actress Moon Ga-young has declined to appear in the drama "Silla Knife," the production company issued a statement regarding the matter.

On the 19th, a representative from Studio Dragon, the production company for "Silla Knife," told StarNews, "It is true that we offered her a role, and we are currently discussing whether she will appear."

Earlier on the same day, The Korea Economic Daily (Hankyung) .com reported that Moon Ga-young had received an offer to star in "Silla Knife" but ultimately declined after consideration.

"Silla Knife" is a drama depicting the story of an Italian chef, known for the allure of the Mediterranean, and a princess who will become the sun of Silla. The work has generated anticipation by combining time-slip elements with cooking.

The project is drawing attention as the comeback work for Cha Eun-woo, who is set to complete his military service in January next year. It was also reported that Moon Ga-young had been considered for a role in the drama.

In particular, expectations had grown for a reunion between the two, as Cha Eun-woo and Moon Ga-young previously worked together in the 2020 drama "True Beauty."

Meanwhile, "Silla Knife" is scheduled to air next year.
