Rookie boy group IDID, formed through Starship Entertainment’s large-scale project Debut’s Plan, stepped in front of Japanese fans for the first time, showcasing refined visuals and powerful performances.

IDID (Jang Yong-hoon, Kim Min-jae, Park Won-bin, Chu Yoo-chan, Park Sung-hyun, Baek Jun-hyuk, and Jung Se-min) successfully completed their first-ever performance in Japan with “PUSH BACK,” the title track of their first digital single, on the KBS 2TV broadcast of the 2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan aired on the afternoon of the 30th. Introduced as a promising K-pop rookie group that made a strong impact in its debut year, IDID appeared from below the stage, immediately commanding attention. Dressed in an all-white outfit that emphasized sleek lines and a hip mood, accented with black neckties and belts, the group exuded a chic runway-like presence. After taking center stage, they struck the synchronized opening pose of “PUSH BACK,” drawing eyes instantly. As Kim Min-jae shouted, “What’s up! Tokyo,” the performance began, and fans quickly became immersed, erupting into enthusiastic cheers.

The 2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan, which featured IDID, was held on December 13 and 14 at Tokyo National Stadium, drawing a total of 120,000 attendees. This marked the first time a K-pop concert was held at Tokyo National Stadium, making it an especially meaningful stage for IDID, who had just surpassed 100 days since debut. As emerging representatives of K-pop, IDID filled the massive venue with vibrant energy. Their razor-sharp group choreography combined with stable live vocals earned high praise.

IDID is a seven-member boy group officially launched by Starship Entertainment on September 15, marking the agency’s first new boy group in over five years. They quickly proved themselves to be a “mega rookie,” winning first place on Music Bank just 12 days after debut with their title track “Brilliant in My Own Way” (literal translation), signaling a major shift in the K-pop scene.
