BTS member Jungkook delivered a special year-end gift to fans.
At midnight on December 24, Jungkook released a cover video of American singer-songwriter Johnny Stimson’s “The Christmas Song” through BTS’s official SoundCloud and YouTube channels. The video reflects Jungkook’s wish to offer warmth to ARMY (the group’s fandom) as the year comes to a close. Adding to its significance, the video was filmed by Jungkook himself. His cozy vocals blend seamlessly with the beautiful night views of Seoul, completing the atmosphere of a winter evening.
“The Christmas Song” is a track that captures the warmth of the holiday season. It is widely known as a classic Christmas song released by jazz vocalist Nat King Cole, and was later reinterpreted by Johnny Stimson in December 2020. Jungkook delivered his own rendition of Stimson’s version, infusing it with his unique sensibility.
Previously, Jungkook has showcased his versatility through covers of various songs, including “Falling” by Harry Styles, “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber, IU’s “Ending Scene,” and Roy Kim’s “Then We Should Break Up.” In addition, he has demonstrated a broad musical spectrum by hosting karaoke-style livestreams on the global fan platform Weverse, where he sings songs requested by fans in real time.
Meanwhile, BTS is set to release new music next spring, followed by a large-scale world tour.
