Girl group NewJeans has added another song to their list of tracks surpassing 200 million streams on the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify.



According to Spotify on the 3rd, NewJeans’ (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) Japanese debut single Supernatural and its title track of the same name recorded 200,128,884 streams as of the 1st. This marks the group’s 12th song to exceed 200 million streams. Released in June of last year, Supernatural is a New Jack Swing–style track characterized by a nostalgic vibe and the members’ soft vocals. Upon release, it topped major local music charts and gained immense popularity by ranking high across domestic and international platforms despite being a Japanese single.



Thanks to the success of Supernatural, NewJeans won an Excellent Work Award at the 66th Japan Record Awards, the country’s most prestigious music ceremony. It was also the only overseas artist entry in the category at the time, further proving the group’s exceptional standing.



To date, NewJeans has produced a total of 15 songs surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify.
