BTS will bring their concert performances to movie theaters across the globe.

On the 20th, the group announced the special event “BTS MOVIE WEEKS” by unveiling its main poster on their official social media channels. The large-scale project will run from September 24 to October 5, screening BTS’s concert films in more than 2,000 theaters across over 65 countries/regions. Fans will relive the excitement of BTS concerts, with theaters lighting up with ARMY Bombs, the group’s official light stick, to create an unforgettable shared experience.

BTS MOVIE WEEKS will showcase four major concert films capturing BTS’s journey and milestone moments:

“BTS 2016 Live 花樣年華 On Stage : Epilogue”, marking the group’s first appearance at KSPO DOME.

“BTS 2017 Live Trilogy Episode III THE WINGS TOUR THE FINAL”, highlighting their rise as global artists following their Billboard Music Awards win, one of the three biggest U.S. music award shows.

“BTS 2019 World Tour ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself’ London”, featuring their historic sold-out concerts at Wembley Stadium, where they drew 120,000 fans over two days, the first Korean act ever to headline the venue.

“BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo”, an online fan meeting celebrating the group’s 8th anniversary, which was streamed in 195 countries/regions to more than 1.33 million viewers, demonstrating BTS’s unmatched global connection even during the pandemic.

BigHit Music stated, “We prepared this project to allow fans to relive BTS’s journey once again. By bringing the energy and emotion of those days to the screen, we hope to share them with ARMY all over the world.” The concert films have been remastered in 4K ultra-high definition with 5.1 surround sound, providing audiences with an immersive experience that feels just like being at the live shows.

In Korea, screenings will be held exclusively at Megabox theaters from September 23 to October 21, with tickets available starting September 10. On the opening day (Sept. 23), a special event at Megabox COEX will screen all four films in one sitting. During the first week, the 2016 and 2017 concerts will be shown; in the second week, the 2019 and 2021 shows; and during weeks three and four, all four films will return to the big screen. International screening schedules will vary by country/region and can be checked on the official BTS MOVIE WEEKS website.

Meanwhile, BTS has officially announced the release of a new album next spring along with a massive world tour. Since July, the members have been traveling to the U.S. in stages to focus on recording and tour preparations, while continuing to stay connected with fans through the global fan platform Weverse.
