The popularity of KATSEYE — the global girl group from HYBE and Geffen Records — shows no signs of slowing down.



According to the latest U.S. Billboard charts (dated August 16, local time), KATSEYE’s second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS ranked No. 69 on the main albums chart, the Billboard 200. Since debuting at No. 4 on the July 12 chart, the album has maintained its position for six consecutive weeks. It also placed No. 17 on the Top Album Sales chart and No. 15 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, securing strong positions across multiple rankings.



Songs from the album continue to rise on Billboard’s global charts as well. “Gabriela” landed at No. 44 on the Global 200 and No. 33 on Global Excl. U.S., marking its seventh consecutive week on both charts — climbing eight and seven spots from the previous week, respectively. “Gnarly” ranked No. 93 on the Global 200 and No. 103 on Global Excl. U.S., jumping 11 and 13 spots week-over-week, and maintaining a solid presence for 14 consecutive weeks.



Their explosive popularity was reignited by their appearance at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 3. Just over a year after debut, KATSEYE took the stage at the largest music festival in the U.S., captivating tens of thousands of festivalgoers with a powerful performance. Videos of their set quickly spread on social media, driving a surge in their global chart performance.

On Spotify, “Gabriela”’s streams spiked sharply — from 2.22 million plays on the day of their Lollapalooza performance to 2.68 million recently. In the same period, “Gnarly” rose from 1.47 million to around 1.7 million daily streams, both tracks showing an increase of roughly 20%. Not only their recent songs, but older tracks continue to enjoy steady popularity as well. “Touch”, one of the double title tracks from KATSEYE’s debut album SIS (Soft Is Strong) released in July 2024, surpassed 400 million cumulative streams on Spotify as of August 9. KATSEYE now boasts four tracks with over 100 million Spotify streams — “Touch”, “Gabriela”, “Gnarly”, and “Debut”.



KATSEYE is set to perform next at Summer Sonic 2025 and Summer Sonic Extra in Osaka and Tokyo from August 16–18, where they are expected to once again deliver a commanding stage presence.
