Choreographer and dancer Jay Black revealed behind-the-scenes details about the choreography for the group A2O Light's "NEON."

Recently, a video titled "Black Mari Review: A2O Light 'NEON' – The Intro Choreography Directly Created by Jay Black?! Stage Dance Review" was released on the YouTube channel 'Studio Wagle Wagle.'

On that day, choreographer Mari said, "It felt like we were unveiling weapons that had been honed and trained," adding, "Rather than following the trend of recent female idols, watching Aiching suddenly brought back memories of seeing BoA when she first debuted."

In response, Jay Black stated, "I also became serious. It was bound to cause a big ripple effect. The framework of K-pop had been established. By my personal standards, if the choreography was created primarily with mass appeal in mind, it felt like the landscape was shifting. That major beginning seems to have been ATZY."

He continued, "I created the intro choreography for Aiching and Siri. It was a truly interesting experience."

He said with a smile, "What I had expected to be different is that when we usually receive a request for idol choreography, we shoot a draft video and send it over. The feedback is almost always 'Please make it a bit easier than this' or 'Please lower the difficulty level.' But this time, it was the opposite."

He then revealed, "The feedback on this draft was 'Please make it harder,' which made me think, 'Is this okay?' From my perspective, I was excited. I made it harder and harder. I pumped up the energy while creating it, but I was also worried."

Jay Black said, "They are female idols, yet they asked for Jay Black's style, which was confusing. I wondered if they hadn't seen my dancing," adding, "When I first met Aiching and Siri for training, I was a bit surprised. They showed their potential from the very beginning," not sparing praise.

Meanwhile, as of 10:00 a.m. on the 15th, A2O Light's new song "NEON" ranked No. 1 on the domestic music streaming service Melon. This was just 29 hours after the release of their debut track, setting a record for the shortest time to reach No. 1 with a debut song by surpassing the record set by All Day Project. In addition, "NEON" is gaining significant popularity, ranking No. 3 on Genie Music's Top 200, No. 1 on Bugs Chart's real-time chart, and No. 1 on Vibe Chart's domestic rising chart.
