가수 임영웅의 팬들이 어려운 이웃을 위한 기부로 선한 영향력을 실천했다. 임영웅 팬클럽 '영웅시대 통영'은 임영웅의 생일(6월 16일)을 맞아 지난 12일 통영시에 이웃돕기 성금 300만 원을 기탁했다.
'영웅시대 통영'이 기탁한 성금은 지역 연계 모금 사업 '통영 행복펀드'에 적립돼 통영시 관내 형편이 어려운 계층에 지원할 계획이다.'영웅시대 통영'은 지난해에도 이웃돕기 성금 500만 원을 기부하는 등 매년 임영웅 생일을 맞아 꾸준한 나눔 활동을 펼치고 있다.
