NewJeans' 'Get Up' continued its sturdy presence on the U.S. 'Billboard 200' for 23 consecutive weeks.
In the new year of 2024, the global popularity of the group NewJeans (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) remains strong, as evidenced by their consistent chart performance on the U.S. Billboard main chart.
According to the latest Billboard chart released on January 3 (local time) for the week of January 6, NewJeans' second EP 'Get Up' climbed three spots from the previous week to secure the 103rd position on the 'Billboard 200.' The album has been steadily rising for three consecutive weeks, marking a reverse trend. With this achievement, 'Get Up' has now spent 23 consecutive weeks on the chart since entering at number one on August 5, setting a record for the longest chart presence among 4th generation K-pop group albums.
The title track of 'Get Up,' 'Super Shy,' also continues to enjoy long-term success on the Billboard charts. 'Super Shy' ranks 137th on the 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' chart and 188th on the 'Global 200' chart this week, maintaining its position in the top rankings for 25 consecutive weeks on both charts.
In addition to 'Super Shy,' NewJeans' mega hits 'Ditto' and 'OMG' have secured positions on the 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' chart, ranking 128th and 142nd, respectively, showcasing their enduring popularity over a year since their release.
Furthermore, NewJeans' song 'Ditto' claimed the top spot on the annual chart 'Top 100' released by Japanese FM radio 'J-WAVE' for 2023, proving their immense popularity in the local Japanese music scene. This chart is based on various data, including the number of on-air appearances on all programs of 'J-WAVE' and points calculated from Billboard Japan's streaming, downloads, and other metrics. NewJeans stands out as the top-ranked K-pop female artist on this chart.
