The title of BTS’s (RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, Jung Kook) upcoming new album—released after three years and nine months—is ARIRANG.

At midnight on the 16th, BTS revealed the album title of their fifth full-length album, set for release on March 20, via the global superfan platform Weverse. The new album will feature a total of 14 tracks and has drawn attention for taking its name from “Arirang,” Korea’s representative folk song. ARIRANG encapsulates BTS’s identity and the emotions they wish to share with music fans. As they prepare for their long-awaited comeback, the group naturally turned their focus to their roots, their starting point, and their inner stories. They sought to weave into their music their identity as a group that began in Korea, along with the deep sense of longing and profound love that reside in their hearts. ARIRANG symbolically represents both BTS’s identity and the emotional core of the new album.

Since their debut, BTS has consistently delivered sincere music rooted in the members’ own experiences and thoughts. This authenticity has resonated with many listeners and become the source of the power behind BTS’s songs. In particular, the new album, which deals with universal emotions such as longing and deep love, is expected to evoke broad empathy from audiences around the world.

Meanwhile, BTS will kick off a new world tour starting with a concert at Goyang Sports Complex on April 9. The tour will span 79 shows across 34 cities worldwide—the largest number of performances in K-pop history. With additional concerts planned in Japan and the Middle East, the scale of the tour is expected to expand even further. BTS will also become the first Korean artists to perform at multiple major stadiums in the United States, including El Paso, Foxborough, Arlington, and Baltimore. In addition, they plan to introduce a 360-degree stage setup to maximize audience immersion.
