Global boy group BTS will begin their world tour this April. The upcoming tour marks their first large-scale concert series in nearly four years, following the conclusion of BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE in Las Vegas in 2022.
On January 14 at midnight (KST), BTS (RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) officially announced the tour by unveiling a BTS WORLD TOUR poster on the global fan platform Weverse. The tour will begin in Goyang, Korea, and expand across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. A total of 79 concerts across 34 cities have been announced so far, making it the largest number of shows ever held in a single tour by a K-pop artist. Additional dates in Japan and the Middle East are expected to be announced, further expanding the scale of the tour.
The tour will open spectacularly with three concerts on April 9 and April 11–12 at Goyang Sports Complex. BTS will then meet fans in Busan on June 12–13. Notably, June 13 marks the group’s debut anniversary, making the Busan concert a particularly meaningful occasion to celebrate with fans.
The North American leg will begin in Tampa on April 25–26 and span 28 shows across 12 cities. BTS will perform at venues such as the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough—marking the first and largest K-pop concerts ever held in those cities. They will also become the second artist, following Coldplay, to perform at Stanford Stadium. Additionally, BTS will make history as the first Korean act to headline major venues including AT&T Stadium in Arlington, the world’s largest domed stadium by capacity, and M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
From June to July, BTS will continue the tour in Europe with 10 performances across five cities, including London and Paris. They will hold their first-ever solo concerts in Madrid and Brussels. The group will also visit five cities in South America, including São Paulo and Buenos Aires, with plans to further expand into the Middle East.
The expansive tour underscores BTS’s global influence, which continues to extend far beyond any single region. Fans can also expect large-scale production to match the tour’s magnitude, including a 360-degree stage design that promises an immersive concert experience.
Ahead of the world tour, BTS will release their fifth full-length album on March 20, featuring 14 tracks. This marks their first full-group album in approximately three years and nine months. Through the new release, the members aim to express the honest emotions and reflections accumulated over their journey, presenting “BTS as they are today.”
