BTS’s Jungkook has once again proven his status as a global super pop star by continuing his record-breaking run on the U.S. Billboard charts.



According to Billboard’s Global 200 chart dated January 10, Jungkook’s debut solo single “Seven” re-entered the chart at No. 148. Released in 2023, “Seven” has now charted for 127 weeks, marking the first and longest run ever achieved by an Asian artist—whether group or solo—setting a new historic record.



On the same date, “Seven” also ranked No. 90 on Billboard’s Global (Excl. U.S.) chart. With this, Jungkook became the first Asian solo artist to chart for 129 consecutive weeks, establishing another unprecedented long-term record. On Billboard Korea’s Global K-Songs chart dated January 10, “Seven” ranked No. 15, “Standing Next to You” No. 52, and “3D” No. 71, placing all three of Jungkook’s songs on the chart simultaneously. Previously, “Seven” held No. 1 on the Global (Excl. U.S.) chart for nine consecutive weeks and No. 1 on the Global 200 chart for seven consecutive weeks. It became the first Asian artist’s song to achieve a simultaneous No. 1 on both charts for seven straight weeks—the longest such record.



The song also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s main singles chart, the Hot 100, and remained on the chart for 15 weeks. In addition, it debuted at No. 3 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100 and set a new record by staying on the chart for 14 weeks—the longest run ever for a K-pop solo artist.



Jungkook has also remained a dominant force on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. “Seven” has charted for 130 weeks on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart, while his first solo album GOLDEN has remained on the Weekly Top Albums Global chart for 114 weeks. As an Asian solo artist, Jungkook continues to set first-ever and longest-running records, demonstrating his powerful presence in the global music market.
