Boy group TWS (Shin Yu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin) has added another trophy to their growing list of year-end achievements, proving their global popularity.
On December 6, TWS received the Best Musician – Group Category award at the 10th Anniversary Asia Artist Awards 2025 (AAA 2025) held at Kaohsiung National Stadium. This marks their second consecutive win at the ceremony, after taking home the Rookie of the Year and Best Artist awards last year.
TWS said, “We are honored to receive such a meaningful award at the 10th anniversary of AAA. Thank you to our 42 (fan club) who consistently support us from the same place with unwavering hearts. We will continue to be artists who make 42 proud.”
TWS closed out Part 1 of the show with explosive energy befitting their reputation as “next-generation performance powerhouses.” The stage began with Jihoon’s artistic solo dance, expressing the feeling of wandering through a chaotic dream during “Head Shoulders Knees Toes.” Then, joined by a large group of dancers, TWS delivered an intense performance that captivated viewers.
In the lively “OVERDRIVE” stage, they depicted a storyline of waking from a dream and gradually returning to reality with renewed vitality. Utilizing the 360-degree open stage, extended platform, and LED lift to full effect, TWS delivered a flawless performance that offered a thrilling rush to the audience. The stadium glowed with rainbow-colored waves as fans waved cheer bands in sync with the lyric, “My heart goes boom!”
During the interview segment, the viral “Aegyo Challenge” became a hot topic once again. Based on the choreography of “OVERDRIVE,” the challenge features a cute, pouty move matching the “Umm” lyric. Following demonstrations by Dohun and Kyungmin, top stars seated in the artist section joined the challenge in a relay, while the audience responded with cheers and laughter. Immediately after the broadcast, keywords such as “TWS Stage,” “HSNT,” “Aegyo Challenge,” and “OVERDRIVE” trended globally on X (formerly Twitter), proving the group’s worldwide buzz.
Meanwhile, TWS has been making remarkable achievements on global music charts throughout the year. According to Billboard Japan’s 2025 year-end charts (tracking period: November 25, 2024–November 23, 2025), their mini albums “play hard” and “TRY WITH US” ranked 38th and 57th, respectively, on Top Albums Sales.
In Top Singles Sales, their Japanese debut single “Nice to see you again” (original title: はじめまして) ranked 49th, while their first single album “Last Bell” ranked 75th.
Thanks to this growing popularity, TWS ranked 46th on Spotify Japan’s Top Groups of 2025 Japan chart.
