Boy group RIIZE is taking on the Rage-style hip-hop genre for the first time.
According to SM Entertainment on the 17th, RIIZE’s upcoming single Fame, set for release on the 24th, will feature a total of three tracks. The album focuses on the lesser-seen aspects of the group’s growth, capturing the members’ anxiety, emptiness, and the intense emotions that surface amid their demanding journey.
The title track Fame is RIIZE’s first attempt at Rage-style hip-hop, characterized by its bold, forward-driving rhythmic structure combined with the raw texture of electric guitar, delivering a dynamic surge of energy.
The lyrics portray RIIZE’s ideal as “emotional pop artists,” conveying the message that what they truly seek is not fame, but the sharing of emotions and love. This marks a fresh departure from the group’s typically bright and ambitious themes.
Since their debut track Get A Guitar, RIIZE has continued to broaden their musical spectrum under their unique “emotional pop” identity, garnering strong global fan support. Expectations are therefore rising for Fame, which promises to showcase yet another new side of RIIZE.
Meanwhile, the exhibition commemorating the release of Fame, titled Silence: Inside the Fame , is being held at the Ilmin Museum of Art in Jongno-gu, Seoul, through November 30. The exhibition has been receiving positive responses since its opening on the 16th.
