ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) is taking over Japan with their iconic charm.

On October 29, the group — Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, Park Gunwook, and Han Yujin — released their Japanese special EP “ICONIK.” Immediately upon release, the title track “ICONIK (Japanese ver.)” soared to No. 2 on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking (as of October 28), once again proving the group’s immense popularity in Japan.

In addition, “ICONIK (Japanese ver.)” topped the iTunes Japan K-Pop Top Songs Chart and entered the LINE MUSIC Real-Time Top 100 at No. 10, signaling a strong start on the Japanese charts.

To celebrate the release, ZEROBASEONE has been engaging in large-scale promotions across Japan, appearing on major music shows such as TV Asahi’s “Music Station” and TBS’s “CDTV Live! Live!”, collaborating with JR Tokai (Central Japan Railway Company), and continuing their world tour, further solidifying their presence across the nation.

ZEROBASEONE’s massive popularity in Japan comes as no surprise. In March of last year, their debut Japanese single “Yura Yura – Unmei no Hana (ゆらゆら -運命の花-)” sold over half a million copies within a week of release, setting the record for the highest debut album sales by a foreign artist in Japan.

Following that success, their first EP “PREZENT” topped both the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking, and ranked No. 4 on Billboard Japan’s 2025 Mid-Year “Top Album Sales” chart.

Riding this phenomenal popularity, ZEROBASEONE also won the “Best New Asian Artist” award in the Asian category at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards, solidifying their position as one of the most successful new K-pop acts in Japan.
