BTS Jimin’s Closer Than This Surpasses 300 Million Streams on Spotify… His 6th Solo Song to Achieve the Milestone
BTS’s Jimin has reached another streaming milestone as Closer Than This surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify.
Released in December 2023 as a surprise gift to fans right before Christmas and shortly after his military enlistment, Closer Than This has now accumulated over 300 million streams on the world’s largest music platform, Spotify. With this, Jimin now has six songs on his personal Spotify profile surpassing 300 million streams, showcasing his powerful global presence as a solo artist.
Among the six tracks, Who holds the highest streaming total, having recently surpassed 2 billion streams — setting a historic record as the first and only solo song by an Asian artist without collaboration to achieve such a feat.
Following this is Like Crazy, which became the first Korean solo song to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, now with 1.392 billion streams. His first solo album FACE’s pre-release track Set Me Free Pt.2 has 435 million streams, while the English version of Like Crazy has 384 million, and With You has 311 million.
In addition, Jimin’s BTS solo track Filter has surpassed 490 million streams and is on the verge of reaching 500 million, while Serendipity (Full Length Edition) has reached 310 million streams, continuing to receive steady love long after release.
Meanwhile, Closer Than This — a fan song Jimin personally wrote and composed to express his love for fans — also achieved a remarkable feat on April 15, 2024, by reaching No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in all 119 countries and regions worldwide, completing an “all-kill.”
