WJSN (Cosmic Girls) member Dayoung has wrapped up the first week of promotions for her solo debut track “body” with great success.

Starting with Mnet’s M Countdown on the 11th, Dayoung performed on KBS2’s Music Bank, MBC’s Show! Music Core, and SBS’s Inkigayo, showcasing the title track “body” from her first solo digital single album “gonna love me, right?”.

Nearly nine years after her debut, Dayoung stood on stage as a solo artist, leaving a lasting impression with her signature upbeat and confident energy. She emphasized the refreshing charm of the track through its addictive beat and chorus paired with her powerful live vocals. Her dynamic performances, filled with diverse arrangements, captivated viewers from start to finish, proving both her refined skills built over the past nine years and her boundless potential.

Dayoung’s genuine enjoyment of the stage also stood out. Even in the midst of intricate choreography, she shared natural eye contact and high-fives with her dancers, while delivering stable ad-libs at the climax, showing her ease and joy in performing. Her confidence, passion, and effort for her solo debut shone through, leaving audiences uplifted.

With her consistently maintained physique, Dayoung successfully embodied various styling concepts across different music shows, further solidifying her “bold transformation.” Notably, her Show! Music Core stage was set outside the studio, utilizing diverse outdoor spaces that enriched the performance production and drew attention.

“body” is a track that combines punchy beats, an addictive hook, and Dayoung’s refreshing vocals, evoking the feeling of late summer. Carrying messages of love and self-assurance, the song reflects her clearer musical identity and sincerity toward new challenges.

Since its release, Dayoung has been actively promoting “body” across social media, sharing behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the music video shoot, a listening session with fellow Starship Entertainment artists, and challenge collaborations with various celebrities — creating more opportunities for fans to engage with her solo debut.

The track has received rave reviews both domestically and internationally. Major outlets such as Forbes (U.S.), NME (UK), FOX 13 Seattle (U.S.), as well as MTV channels in the U.S., UK, Germany, Japan, Italy, and more have highlighted Dayoung’s solo debut and global impact.

Meanwhile, Dayoung, who released her first digital single album “gonna love me, right?” on the 9th, will continue her active promotions with the title track “body.”
