ILLIT made a dazzling appearance as the main stage act at a major festival, proving their soaring popularity with banners and placards bearing their faces and names displayed throughout the venue.
On September 14, members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha performed at the Rock in Japan Festival 2025 (RIJF), held at Soga Sports Park in Chiba, Japan. They delivered a total of 11 songs, all performed with a full live band.
Celebrating its 26th anniversary this year, RIJF is one of Japan’s four largest rock festivals, attracting more than 200,000 attendees annually. On the festival’s second day, ILLIT took to the main GRASS STAGE, which holds about 40,000 people, and filled the venue with energy.
ILLIT kicked off their set with a grand opening that marked the beginning of a magical performance, launching into “Toki Yo Tomare” (時よ止まれ / “Stop Time”), the title track of their first Japanese single released on September 1. They kept the momentum going with a swing-arranged version of “Tick-Tack” and a nu-disco version of “Lucky Girl Syndrome,” perfectly tailored for the festival vibe. When the intro of “Almond Chocolate” — a track loved on local charts earlier this year — began to play, the crowd erupted with cheers.
