KATSEYE Wins “Push Performance of the Year” at the MTV VMAs Just One Year After Debut
HYBE’s global girl group KATSEYE took home a trophy at the MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs) with their track “Touch.”
On the morning of September 8 (KST), the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards were held at UBS Arena in New York, USA. KATSEYE won the award for “Push Performance of the Year” with “Touch,” released in July last year. Ahead of the main ceremony, the group also performed during the Pre-Show stage, presenting “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.”
In their acceptance speech, they said, “First, we’re so grateful to our fans. It feels like we’ve won the whole world.”
KATSEYE is a joint girl group project between HYBE and Geffen Records. Formed through the global audition program “The Debut: Dream Academy,” they have quickly risen to prominence. Their recently released second EP “Beautiful Chaos” ranked No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart (July 12 issue), while its tracks “Gabriela” and “Gnarly” entered the main singles chart, the Billboard Hot 100, side by side — demonstrating their explosive global popularity.
