This marks the first time a Korean rapper has reached such a milestone, based on his overall profile that includes solo albums and various collaborations.

Notably, his first mixtape Agust D, released in 2016, reached 500 million streams in early August. With this, Suga has become the first and only Korean solo artist to have more than three albums surpass 500 million streams on Spotify. Expanding the scope to Asian solo artists overall, he follows only Joji and Mitski as the third to achieve this feat.

In addition, Amygdala from his first full-length solo album D-DAY (2023) surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify as of August 28. This brings Suga’s total number of solo and collaboration tracks with over 100 million streams each to 15. These consecutive achievements highlight how Suga’s expanding musical spectrum continues to resonate with listeners worldwide. Rather than short-lived popularity, the overall quality of his albums and the narrative and musical depth of each track have sustained consistent plays over time, further solidifying his presence in the global music market.

This accomplishment goes beyond sheer streaming numbers, serving as proof that Suga has earned worldwide recognition and lasting listener loyalty as an artist. Moreover, the milestone is expected to provide positive momentum for his future activities and projects.
