Red Velvet’s Irene, KISS OF LIFE’s Natty, and Actress Nam Ji-hyun Named MCs for the 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards

Red Velvet’s Irene, KISS OF LIFE’s Natty, and actress Nam Ji-hyun have been selected as the official MCs for the 2nd Korea Grand Music Awards (2025 KGMA).



On August 25, the KGMA Organizing Committee announced that the three stars will host the awards ceremony, which will be held on November 14–15 at Inspire Arena in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon. On the first day (Nov. 14), Irene and Nam Ji-hyun will lead the event, while Natty and Nam Ji-hyun will take the stage as MCs on the second day (Nov. 15). Notably, Nam Ji-hyun has been appointed as MC for the second consecutive year and will once again host the ceremony across both days.



Irene debuted as a member of Red Velvet in August 2014 and has since captivated fans with hits such as “Ice Cream Cake,” “Red Flavor,” “Peek-A-Boo,” “Russian Roulette,” “Psycho,” “Bad Boy,” “Queendom,” and “Feel My Rhythm.” Known for her striking visuals and charismatic presence as the group’s “undeniable center,” she has also promoted as part of the subunit Irene & Seulgi. In November 2024, Irene released her first solo album, showcasing her distinct musical identity.



Natty made her debut with KISS OF LIFE in July 2023, earning popularity with tracks including “Shhh,” “Bad News,” “Eros,” “Midas Touch,” “Sticky,” and “Lips, Hips, Kiss.” Originally from Thailand, she first gained public recognition through JYP’s girl group audition program Sixteen prior to her group debut and has also been active as a solo artist. Known for her bold and captivating performances, she has built a strong global fanbase.



Nam Ji-hyun began her acting career in 2004 with “Say You Love Me” and has since established a diverse filmography spanning thrillers and historical dramas, including “Suspicious Partner” and “100 Days My Prince.” Last year, she led SBS drama “Good Partner” to top viewer ratings, and she is set to return to the small screen in January with the new series “Dear Thief.”



The Korea Grand Music Awards is hosted by Ilgan Sports (EdailyM) and jointly organized by the KGMA Organizing Committee, CreatorRing, and DOD. Official fan voting is currently underway via the Fancast app. The full artist lineup, award categories, and judging criteria will be unveiled sequentially through the KGMA website and Fancast app starting in September.
