“No.1” Lim Young-woong Surpasses 12.2 Billion Streams on Melon

Singer Lim Young-woong has surpassed 12.2 billion cumulative streams on Melon, continuing his streak of record-breaking achievements.



As of August 24, Lim Young-woong’s cumulative streaming count on Korea’s leading music platform Melon exceeded 12.20374 billion. Following his milestone of 12.1 billion streams on August 4, he added another 100 million streams in just 20 days, setting a new record.



In January 2023, Lim Young-woong was inducted into Melon’s “Hall of Fame” as a Gold Club artist for surpassing 5 billion but under 10 billion cumulative streams.



On June 18, 2024, he went on to exceed 10 billion cumulative streams, earning him the title of a Diamond Club artist. By joining the Diamond Club, Lim Young-woong stood shoulder to shoulder with global top group BTS—ranking No.1 among solo artists. Backed by the unwavering love and support of his dedicated fandom Hero Generation, Lim Young-woong achieved the historic milestone of 12.1 billion streams, fueling his continued record-setting march.



Meanwhile, Lim Young-woong will release his second full-length album “IM HERO 2” on August 29, marking his first regular album in three years and two months. He will also greet viewers through SBS’s new variety show “Island Boy Hero”, premiering on August 26. Furthermore, he will appear on KBS 2TV’s Immortal Songs – Lim Young-woong and Friends special, airing in two parts on August 30 and September 6.



In October, Lim Young-woong will embark on his 2025 nationwide tour, starting in Incheon (October 17–19), followed by Daegu and Seoul in November, Gwangju in December, and Daejeon in January 2026. Concerts in Seoul and Busan are also scheduled for January and February of next year, with ticket release dates to be announced later.
