Rookie boy group CORTIS, under BigHit Music, shared their excitement and anticipation ahead of their first music show performance.



CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho) will perform the title track “What You Want” from their debut album on Mnet’s M Countdown airing at 6 PM on the 21st. Through their agency, the group expressed, “We’re thrilled to finally show our first stage. Performing on a music show has been the schedule all five of us were most looking forward to. We want to use this opportunity to fully show who CORTIS is. Please pay attention to our performance on 11 treadmills—we’ve prepared a stage filled with sweat, passion, and determination.”



They also highlighted the effort put into perfecting their vocals. “We’ve been practicing live singing on treadmills even outside of schedules for music shows, so we hope everyone watches closely. We want to connect closely with the audience and viewers. We hope you join us for our first steps.”



Ahead of their broadcast, CORTIS unveiled a conceptual performance film on August 18 and the choreography for “What You Want” on Mnet Digital Studio M2’s YouTube channel, STUDIO CHOOM, on August 20. The video, featuring their innovative treadmill dance, drew significant attention worldwide. K-pop fans praised the group as a “young creator crew” for collaboratively bringing together music, visuals, and choreography.



Starting with music show promotions on the 21st, CORTIS is set to deliver both dynamic performance and solid vocals, meeting the high expectations of global fans. Meanwhile, their debut album intro track “GO!” proved their rising popularity by reaching #1 on Japan’s Line Music real-time “Popular Music Video” chart on August 20—just nine days after its release. Their debut album, “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES”, featuring “What You Want” and “GO!”, will be officially released on September 8.
