Singer Cho Yong-pil is preparing for the stage of “80th Liberation Anniversary KBS Special Project – Forever This Moment, Cho Yong-pil,” amid rumors that BTS, Taeyeon, and IU would be appearing.
However, the production team of KBS2’s “80th Liberation Anniversary KBS Special Project – Forever This Moment, Cho Yong-pil” stated that the rumors regarding BTS, Taeyeon, and IU’s participation are “groundless.” Producer Koh Guk-jin also clarified on his personal SNS, saying, “Guests such as BTS or IU will not be attending. Please note there is no mistake here, and there will be no changes in the future.”
To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation, Cho Yong-pil will hold the “Forever This Moment, Cho Yong-pil” concert at Gocheok Sky Dome on September 6. The performance is a project realized after long discussions between KBS and Cho Yong-pil.
Particularly noteworthy is that this will be Cho Yong-pil’s first solo stage on KBS in 28 years, since “Big Show” in 1997. The special “Forever This Moment, Cho Yong-pil” will be broadcast on KBS on October 6, during the Chuseok holiday.
