Singer Lim Young-woong is making his comeback after more than three years with his second full-length album IM HERO 2. To celebrate its release, he will host a special listening event for his fan club, “Hero Generation,” at CGV theaters nationwide, where fans can hear the entire album in advance.



Ahead of the release of IM HERO 2, Lim Young-woong will hold this special event on August 28, one day before the album drops. Taking place simultaneously at about 50 CGV theaters across the country and accommodating around 50,000 attendees, the event marks the largest and most record-breaking pre-release listening session ever held in Korea. At the IM HERO 2 listening party, fans will be the first to hear all the tracks from the new album, including the title track and its music video. With the grandeur of the theater’s massive screens and immersive surround sound, the experience will maximize the album’s impact, allowing the audience to enjoy the new songs as if they were at a live concert. Every attendee will also receive a special limited-edition commemorative gift to mark the album’s release and the listening event, creating an unforgettable memory for fans.



Previously, Lim Young-woong received praise for producing IM HERO 2 in an eco-friendly album book format without physical CDs, easing fans’ financial burden and showing environmental consideration. Alongside various fan events to celebrate the album’s release, this listening session was designed with the intention of offering a festive occasion where fans can fully enjoy and immerse themselves in the music, free from unnecessary pressure or competition. Lim explained, “I wanted to share IM HERO 2, which I have poured my heart into for a long time, with my fans before anyone else. I hope it becomes a precious time where music and emotion come together.”



Reservations for the IM HERO 2 listening event open on August 21 at 10 a.m., rolling out sequentially by theater. Detailed information about the event and ticketing will be available on the CGV website and app. The IM HERO 2 listening event, confirmed in honor of the album’s release, will be held for one day only on August 28 at CGV theaters nationwide.
