MONSTA X Show Warmth and Playfulness in ‘Visual Blessing’ Concept Photos for New Album The X



“Trusted and beloved performers” MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M) have revealed their multi-faceted charm.



On August 12, their agency Starship Entertainment unveiled the “HELLO X” version concept photos for MONSTA X’s upcoming mini album THE X, set to be released on September 1, through the group’s official social media channels. The photos capture the members dressed in six distinct styles of suits, enjoying a 10th-anniversary party and after-party. In an antique-inspired party setting, the members exude warmth and good looks, while using various props to showcase their unique wit through playful poses. Their dandy suit fits set fans’ hearts aflutter, and the karaoke after-party concept photos offer an unexpectedly fun contrast. With natural team chemistry reminiscent of real karaoke outings, Hyungwon and Joohoney add an extra touch of humor by wearing pink and blue wigs, respectively.



MONSTA X will pre-release the track Do What I Want from the new album on August 18, heating up excitement ahead of their official comeback. Written solely by Joohoney and I.M, with Joohoney also participating in composition, the track blends a catchy hook, groovy bass, and rhythmic drums into a hip-hop number that promises to leave a powerful impression on listeners.



The group had previously surprised fans with news of their comeback during their 10th-anniversary full-group concert, 2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X, held last month. Since then, they have been raising anticipation by sequentially dropping teasers such as “coming soon” videos, trailers, and concept photos. Starting with Do What I Want, all eyes are now on their activities, which are expected to heat up the K-pop scene this September.

MONSTA X will officially make their comeback on September 1 at 6 PM KST with the release of their mini album THE X and title track N the Front. Before that, they will unveil the pre-release song Do What I Want on August 18.
