가수 임영웅의 데뷔 9주년(8월 8일)을 맞아 팬들이 소외계층과 수재민을 위한 기부로 선한 영향력을 실천했다. 임영웅 팬클럽 '영웅시대 경기동부응원방'은 임영웅 데뷔 9주년을 기념해 지난 7일 사랑의 열매를 통해 경기 포천시(시장 백영현)에 1000만 원을 기부했다.
'영웅시대 경기동부방'은 "선한 영향력을 실천하는 아티스트 임영웅의 뜻에 함께 동참해 자부심과 뿌듯함을 느낀다"고 밝혔다. 오는 29일 정규 2집을 발매하는 임영웅은 팬 부담을 덜고 환경 문제 등을 고려해서 파격적으로 CD 없이 화보가 담긴 앨범북 형태로 제작한다.
