BTS’s Jimin has once again proven his presence by achieving another milestone on the world’s largest music platform, Spotify.
Jimin recently surpassed 7 billion streams on his Spotify artist profile. With a total of 34 tracks exceeding 7 billion streams, Jimin is the 7th most streamed Korean artist and the 2nd most streamed solo artist. Among these, over 5.6 billion streams were achieved with 22 purely solo tracks – a record-breaking feat as the first and only K-pop solo artist to achieve this.
Currently, the total streams for all 34 tracks amount to 7,014,840,000, with over 80% – 5,680,240,000 streams – coming from purely solo tracks, showcasing the unparalleled sound source power of solo artist Jimin. Jimin’s ‘Who,’ which charted for 33 weeks on the Billboard main song chart ‘Hot 100,’ leads the solo track streaming records with 1.8 billion streams. ‘Like Crazy,’ which became the first K-pop solo song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard ‘Hot 100,’ has now surpassed 1.37103 billion streams. The largest proportion of streams for ‘Who’ on Spotify comes from the United States, the home of pop music. Recently surpassing 370 million streams on the Spotify US chart, ‘Who’ holds the record for the most streamed K-pop song on that chart.
Meanwhile, shining with popularity befitting his reputation as ‘Jimmerica’ (Jimin + America) – the most beloved K-pop artist in the United States – Jimin’s ‘Who,’ released while serving in the military, ranked 14th on the Spotify Global Chart as of June 29th, continuing its 346-day streak on the chart and maintaining its popularity even after his discharge.
