류희림 방송통신심의위원장의 '셀프 민원' 의혹과 관련된 증인 진술이 국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회에서 번복됐다.

5일 뉴스1에 따르면 장경식 방심위 강원사무소장(과거 종편보도채널팀장)은 이날 국회 과방위 전체회의에 증인으로 출석해 2023년 9월 14일 당시 류 위원장에게 동생의 민원 신청 사실이 담긴 보고서를 보고했다고 했다.

최민희 과방위원장은 "과거 장 소장이 권익위 조사에서 '류 위원장에 보고하지 않았다'고 진술한 뒤 류 위원장이 '고맙다. 잘 챙겨주겠다'고 두 차례 말한 일은 있나"고 묻자, 장 소장은 "하셨다"고 확인했고 최 위원장은 재조사할 필요성이 생겼다고 했다.
