NCT’s WISH and Mark swept the April music scene, claiming the top two spots on the Hanteo Chart.
According to the Hanteo Chart’s monthly album rankings released on May 1st, NCT WISH’s second mini-album ‘poppop’ took first place, while Mark’s first solo album ‘The Firstfruit’ secured second place, reaffirming the immense power of the NCT brand. NCT WISH’s ‘poppop,’ released on April 14th, not only achieved “million seller” status (selling over a million copies in its first week, based on Hanteo Chart data) but also topped various domestic album charts, won three music show awards, reached number one on the Korean Apple Music Top 100 chart, topped the Chinese QQ Music K-Pop weekly chart for two consecutive weeks, and topped the Japanese AWA real-time rising chart and the Japanese YouTube trending videos chart. It also ranked on the Korean YouTube trending music chart at number two, achieving career highs across various charts and solidifying its position as the leading trendsetter of 2025. 
Mark, who released his first solo album ‘The Firstfruit’ on April 7th, achieved “half-million seller” status and topped various domestic album charts, won three music show awards, topped the Chinese QQ Music digital album sales chart, topped the Japanese Oricon daily album chart, topped the Japanese AWA real-time rising chart, and ranked on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut Global chart and the UK Official Charts’ Download and Single Sales charts, showcasing a dazzling performance befitting a “K-Pop trademark.”
Mark announced the arrival of a new pop star with his title track ‘1999,’ which features grand yet upbeat sounds, incorporating his birth year, name, and aspirations as an artist.
